{Personal} Holiday Spirit

We're late! We broke tradition this year and let a few busy weekends keep us from getting our Christmas Tree over the Thanksgiving holiday. (Selfishly, I was also putting off the constant needle-cleaning after last year's tree.) So Daniel and I packed up Kaelyn and headed to Willey's down the street. It was fun to see her be a part of the experience this year.

Aside from another patron's dog, and the women decorating wreaths, she found the whole experience utterly boring. I had faith that part two of the Christmas Tree saga would be right up her alley! You be the judge...

When I tried this last year, we were lucky to get one sort-of-smile out of her - so seeing her have a blast this year was such a relief!

We opted to forego our expensive/delicate/sentimental ornaments this year. (Anyone with a toddler wrecking ball, or has met ours, can totally understand) Thankfully, $1 worth of candy canes makes for a great (edible) alternative - and photo op!

Here's to getting in the holiday spirit! I hope you all are too :)
