Christmas ROCKS. I don't remember much about last year's celebrations, but I've just about got this holiday figured out now. So for all you new babies, this is what I've gathered so far:
- Moms and Dads get a KICK out of seeing you sit on some old guy's lap. Personally, I don't get it. But apparently he comes around later with all your favorite toys and treats, so that's pretty cool.
- Grandparents are all about seeing you rip fancy paper off of boxes. It makes a huge mess, but they're cool with it anyway. Weird, right?
- The supply of food is ENDLESS. Dad still looks OK, but mom's gut is getting out of control. Apparently nobody can bring themselves to say something, because she just keeps eating! She's particularly fond of the sweet variety - so last week we got together with our friends Lindsay and Will to make some Christmas Cookies. Mom swears they're for that old guy with the presents I was telling you about. Likely story, Ma. Likely story.
Anyhow - here's how the Christmas Cookie thing is done:
All in all it's a really fun tradition I hope we repeat every year! Thanks for having us over, Lindsay! And Will - ...call me ;)
